Dear Homeowners,
We received the attached notice from the Town about the upcoming sewer jetting project and wanted to send it to all our homeowners.
The Town says this will begin on Wednesday, April 12th and can take up to 4 days to complete. You should consider putting a couple cups of water in each drain this coming Sunday, unless of course you smell sewer gas beforehand, in which case, feel free to put water in those drains at that time.
If your "P" traps (drains under your sink) lose their water, you will not be protected from the sewer gas coming back up into your house which could, as you'd imagine, be quite unpleasant.
P Traps and drains that people may forget to refill during this time include:
Basement floor drains
Hot water tank pressure relief valve drain
Washing Machine drain
All sinks, tubs, and showers.
