Change in Trash Service Provider to Ram Waste
Update: Ram Waste will begin taking over our trash service starting in December. Buffalo Creek HOA will become a Tuesday pickup service. Our first pickup will be on December 3, 2024.
Recycle pickup is every other week and our first recycling day will be on December 10, 2024. (I am attaching the file below for the remainder of 2024. You will be able to go to the Ram website and print off the 2025 calendar.)
Buffalo Creek is a Gold Week customer, meaning that our recycling will be Gold colored weeks.
The Town of Wellington has agreed we can use the very north end of Buffalo Creek Parkway to stage as a Trash Can distribution area. Semi-trucks will come in the week of November 25th and deliver all the trash carts to this area. Ram will deliver these to every homeowner the first part of that week.
Republic: We have not heard back from Republic on what to expect on picking up their trash cans. Unless you hear otherwise, please leave them out on the street until they remove them.
Be sure to include yard waste cans if you have those. All Ram trash cans will be required to be stored out of sight starting December 1st.
We will not write up Republic cans as violations until they are gone.
Yard Waste: To set up the new Yard Waste Services, you would need to call Ram and set it up. (970) 226-3396.
We have negotiated rates with them for a 96 Gallon yard waste cart of $20.50 a month for the 2025-yard waste season. With this larger yard waste cart, you could share the expense with a neighbor and share the cart.
Xfinity – Comcast Fiber Internet Services
I was finally contacted by Comcast and had a sit down with the project manager
to get the information as to what all the flags in our neighborhood are about.
The Town of Wellington has approved Xfinity/Comcast to put fiber optics into our neighborhood.
They will be impacting every yard in the neighborhood and should be starting immediately. They have already called in the 811-locates on the properties so you probably know where this will be installed.
Each home in the HOA will be impacted. Comcast will be on every street, boring a cable in the front yards of all our homes, all along the front of your property.
The property line between every second home will have either a 3’ x 4’ in ground cable pull vault, a 10”x 14” in ground pull box, or a lime green above ground pedestal (12” w x 15” l, 2’ high) within that easement area.
It looks like Pedestals will be at every 4th house when looking at their design build drawings.
Xfinity/Comcast will place door hangers on your door with contact information in the rare case you have damage to anything on your yard and/or sprinkler systems that you would find out about come springtime. (Eric Vrba (480) 318-7139).
During the boring process on your street, you will have a no parking on the street restriction.
They should complete your block in 3 to 5 days once they start, with a hope of having the neighborhood complete in about 3 months.
They will have equipment and Vac Trucks working the block during the day. Services will most likely be available to homeowners by March if you sign up.
